Tantillo, Bell Shoot Low Round On First Day

There were plenty of low scores in the first round of the 52nd Italian-American Charity Golf Tournament at Holiday Valley Resort on Thursday.

Tommy Tantillo and Nick Bell combined for the lowest.

Tommy Tantillo, left, and Nick Bell combined to shoot a net best-ball 58 on Thursday to lead the 52nd Italian-American Charity Golf Tournament at Holiday Valley Resort in Ellicottville by one shot.

The tandem shot a net best-ball 58 to claim a one-shot lead over the team of Jim Todaro and Tom Yocum and the team of Jordan Bardo and Jordan Woleen; and three shots better than the team of Jordan Coccagnia and Kyle Rensel.

Shooting 62s were Brett Cappa and Derek Dawson; George Panebianco and John O’Mara; Mike Schifano and Alex Johnson; and Joe Sinatra and Dave Leathers.

Turning in 63s were Jordan Ricotta and Ben Lindquist; Brooks Landy and Ryan Thompson; David Foti and Nick Madden; and John Trussalo and Tim Magnuson.

The second round is today, followed by the final round on Saturday.
