Three-Way Tie Atop Italian-American Leaderboard

ELLICOTTVILLE – Three teams are tied for first place entering today’s final round of the 45th annual Italian-American Charity Golf Tournament at Holiday Valley Resort.

Sparked by a net best-ball 7-under-par 63, Joe Vitello and Kevin Thorpe, playing out of the Second Flight, stand at 128, which ties them with Peter Morgante and Jon Gren Jr., and James Panebianco and Salim Sarvaiya.

Morgante-Gren and Panebianco-Sarvaiya, both playing out of the First Flight, shot 65s.

Three teams are two shots back at 130. They are first-round leaders Paul Mole and Steve Anderson, and Gregg Pietrocarlo and Hans Auer, both out of the First Flight, and Jim Todaro and Tom Yocum, who are in the Fourth Flight.

Pete Scheira Jr. and Dave Eberts lead the Third Flight with a 131, Ray Fashano and Marty Stockwell top the Fifth Flight with a 135, and Anthony Cusimano and Andy Benson lead the Sixth Flight with a 136. In the Seventh Flight, tied at 145, are the teams of Ray Paladino and Dan Wells, and Joe D’Angelo and Bill Erickson.

The overall champion and runners-up can come from any flight.
