Jamestown will always be home to John. He has never considered living anywhere other than his hometown. John enjoys many of the seasonal activities available to him around the area, such as skiing and golfing, and is also a Buffalo Bills season ticket holder. He anticipates that he will stay in Jamestown for the foreseeable future.

The new echnology offers patients a minimally invasive option to locate, enable biopsy, and plan treatment for a lesion detected deep in the lung and aids in the earlier detection of lung disease and lung cancer when it is often easier to treat, has a higher survival rate, and potentially offers patient more treatment options.

IA Golf Assn. Begins Cancer Campaign

The Italian American Charity Golf Association recently presented WCA Hospital with a $50,000 check, proceeds from the 2010 IA golf tournament.

This is the first installment of a three-year, $150,000 pledge to continue the association’s support of local cancer care at WCA Hospital with the purchase of a minimally-invasive lung navigation system which will result in earlier diagnosis and treatment options for lung cancer patients.

A donation from the 38th Italian American Charity Golf Association of $50,935 will benefit WCA Hospital’s Cancer Care Program.

The money raised will support the WCA Hospital Endoscopy program for the diagnosis and treatment of colon cancer. This donation is the second installment of a three-year pledge that will be utilized for Endoscopy equipment. Since making this commitment, the IA has raised $113,935 toward the project.
